Description
PULSE Performance is PowerStep’s running insole, designed by runners for runners. A soft, springy layer of ShockAbsorb Premium Foam runs the full length of the insole to absorb impact and return energy, so your legs feel fresher mile after mile.
Under the foam is PowerStep’s neutral arch shell and heel cradle, which stabilize the foot and keep your stride efficient – for casual joggers and competitive runners alike.
Who It’s For
- Running and athletic shoes
- Neutral arches, mild pronation
- Plantar fasciitis and shin splints in active people
What It Helps With
Feet with a normal arch roll slightly inward with every step (pronation). When that inward roll goes a little too far, it puts extra strain on the foot and the joints above it. PowerStep designed this insole to help relieve and prevent pain linked to mild to moderate pronation, including:
- Plantar fasciitis (heel and arch pain)
- Heel spurs
- Achilles tendonitis
- Arch pain and tired, aching feet
- Shin splints
- Ankle, knee, hip and lower-back pain
- Bunions
- Hammer toes and claw toes
- Calluses and corns
Persistent or severe foot pain should be checked by a podiatrist or physician. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or poor circulation, ask your doctor before using any orthotic insole.

How to Choose Your Size
Choose the size whose range includes your US shoe size – each option shows the men’s and women’s sizes it fits. Take out your shoe’s factory insole, then slide the PowerStep insole in and push it all the way back to the heel.
Care & Replacement
Spot clean with a mild detergent, do not submerge in water, and air dry. PowerStep advises that insoles typically last 6 months or longer depending on how often and how hard they are worn – replace them when the cushioning flattens or your discomfort returns.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is PULSE different from the Pinnacle?
PULSE is built for running and athletic impact, with springier ShockAbsorb foam and a lighter build. The Pinnacle line is aimed at all-day everyday wear.
Does it help with plantar fasciitis?
Yes. The arch support and heel cradle reduce strain on the plantar fascia, and the foam softens each foot strike.
Can I use them in walking or casual shoes?
Yes, as long as the shoe has a removable insole and room for a full-length insole.
How long do PowerStep insoles last?
PowerStep says 6 months or longer with normal use. Daily wear, running or heavy work shortens that – replace them when the cushioning feels flat, the arch feels softer, or your pain returns.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes – PowerStep lists this insole as HSA/FSA eligible.
