Description
Burning or aching under the ball of the foot – or the feeling of walking on a pebble – often comes from pressure on the metatarsal heads or an irritated nerve between the toes. The Pinnacle Plus Met adds a metatarsal pad to the classic Pinnacle to take load off that area.
Because it keeps the Pinnacle’s neutral arch shell and deep heel cradle, you get ball-of-foot relief and full arch support in one insole.
Who It’s For
- Ball-of-foot pain (metatarsalgia)
- Morton’s neuroma
- Pain after long periods of standing
- Medium arches that also need forefoot relief
What It Helps With
The built-in metatarsal pad targets the ball of the foot, while the arch shell supports feet that roll slightly inward. PowerStep designed this insole to help relieve and prevent:
- Metatarsalgia (ball-of-foot pain)
- Morton’s neuroma
- Forefoot soreness after standing or walking
- Plantar fasciitis (heel and arch pain)
- Heel spurs
- Achilles tendonitis
- Arch pain and tired, aching feet
- Shin splints
- Ankle, knee, hip and lower-back pain
- Bunions
- Hammer toes and claw toes
- Calluses and corns
Persistent or severe foot pain should be checked by a podiatrist or physician. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or poor circulation, ask your doctor before using any orthotic insole.

How to Choose Your Size
Choose the size whose range includes your US shoe size – each option shows the men’s and women’s sizes it fits. Take out your shoe’s factory insole, then slide the PowerStep insole in and push it all the way back to the heel.
Care & Replacement
Spot clean with a mild detergent, do not submerge in water, and air dry. PowerStep advises that insoles typically last 6 months or longer depending on how often and how hard they are worn – replace them when the cushioning flattens or your discomfort returns.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the metatarsal pad do?
It sits just behind the ball of the foot and gently lifts and spreads the metatarsal bones, taking pressure off the area that hurts with metatarsalgia and Morton’s neuroma.
How is it different from the regular Pinnacle?
It is the same insole with a built-in metatarsal pad added for ball-of-foot pain.
Can I use it if I also have plantar fasciitis?
Yes. It has the same arch support and heel cradle as the standard Pinnacle, so it helps heel and arch pain as well as ball-of-foot pain.
How long does it take to get used to them?
Most people adjust within 1 to 3 days. Wear them for a few hours the first day and add time each day. Mild awareness of the arch at first is normal; sharp pain is not – stop and ask us or your podiatrist.
How long do PowerStep insoles last?
PowerStep says 6 months or longer with normal use. Daily wear, running or heavy work shortens that – replace them when the cushioning feels flat, the arch feels softer, or your pain returns.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes – PowerStep lists this insole as HSA/FSA eligible.
